Tire re-liners from Gemplers

If the tire is dry st the cracks, put Black Urethane Door and window sealer, or Black wind shield adheasive (also urethane based) to seal up the cracks. Use if liners will be great, but keeping the exposed fabric, and crack depth from additional growth is important. Jim

Tom, You most have gotten your catalog about the same time as I. The first thing I saw with intrest was the tire liner. I have and old set of the tuff tires 40" on an F-14 and the side walls are going after 82 year. I may give it a try. Any thing to save the old 40". oldiron29

JIm great minds think alike. Gempler's also has a tire repair epoxy/putty that is sold to repair farm tire cleats/rips/etc. I bought some of that to fill in the cracks, here is the link:

I salvaged a couple of tires that I also put cold patch inside repairs. I used Butyl rubber caulking on those, but will try this stuff when it arrives.

I really hope I can salvage these tires. They will look great on my H or the F-20. I pull the F-20, so these probably won't go on there. The H is a parade, tractor ride, show tractor, so those tires should be fine for that. Oldiron29, I'll have to send you some pics of the tires.

I installed a 1 piece liner in a 10X28 40 years ago and it is still working. Montgomery Ward tire had sidewall cracks then and still does. I glued in a boot or two also. I keep tire pressure a tad above normal but don"t know if that is necessary.
