the person wanting to but my f-14 is trying to find a belt-pulley for it. does any one know where to find one, or did they even have one ?

They had them, but alot of them were taken off because the centrifigal forces of the pulley wouldnt let the tractor stop rolling. This was only slight, but it did happen, at least on mine, and what I was told. I know of several who take the pulley off, and only use it when they want to drive something with it.

I got mine out of a tractor junk yard several years ago. There is a cover that was made to go over the shaft when the pulley isn't installed.

I just took mine off (still on a shelf though) as it acted like a loudspeaker and resonated any clunks and rumbles in the transmission amplifying the noise a lot.
Once removed the F-14 runs a lot quieter. I believe this was also a reason they were often removed as well.
So, not having one on might just be OK :D

Most of them were removed because they always turn when the clutch is not depressed, unlike the other F series tractors you can't shut them off. There is a tin cover to cover the shaft, those can be a challenge to find but the pulleys are on ebay quite often.

will you be keeping it or thinking of selling? this person might buy if able find a pulley. he is commming back, [if not snowing] to drive. couldn't even start on trailer, with nose to front. [goose neck trailer]

Hi Bob, I will keep my pulley with the tractor, just not on it as maybe the next owner might like to sort the noises and reinstall it.
Cheers,
