I don't know the # off-hand but it is the same as an H or B with the long filter.

I get mine for my H and M at NAPA. F12 used the long one which is what my M has.

Any IH dealer has them in stock... Same as an M,early H,f-20,f-30,etc... Napa and carquest also has them in stock.

I have heard a rumor that at one time, they used a standard roll of toilet paper as a filter. Is this true?

The roll of toilet paper was used as the element in the "Frantz" aftermarket, add-on oil filter. Lots of folks installed a Frantz oil filter on cars, trucks, and tractors that did not have an oil filter from the factory.
