1955 p.s. pump pulley removal

How"s the best way to remove the pulley on the pump. I don"t see a place for puller. Is it ok the heat it. ....Bugspot

you can use a bearing splitter to remove them via a puller.

THe pump would not be an IH item, so we do not know for sure what it is. Most are presses fit, and need to be pulled of (as Andrew indicates) with a bearing splitter and a puller. This puts all the force on the hub, and not on the sheet metal. Jim

If it has that flange type hub, it is the same as some alternators.

Go to Autozone and rent the power steering pump pulley remover.
