year of manufacture

We have a Farmall 200, serial number 10305J. I can't find this s/n in any literature that will identify the year it was manufactured, including the Yesterday's Tractor serial number guide. Anyone got info that can help?

Serial number charts list the FIRST serial number for each year, not THE serial number for that year.

Every tractor has a different serial number.

According to the charts on this website, the first serial for year 1955 was 1032, and for year 1956 was 10904

Since your number of 10304 is BETWEEN those numbers, it means the tractor is a 1955 model.

My book lists this as a 1955 built. 1956 numbers started with 10904

This isn't a consensus thing. It either is or it isn't.

The charts say that if the serial number is between 1034 and 10904, then the tractor was built in 1955.

Mathematics says that 1034 < 10305 < 10904

check the casting codes that will tell you the yr built
