Super a Carb

I have a '49 Super A with a Zenith carb. I need to rebuild it but the only numbers I can find on the carburetor is 3B.Can someone shed some light on this?

Look in the parts section of www.caseih.com, and compare your carb to the diagram. There was more than one model of Zenith on the SA, should be a 67x7 or a 161x7--separate the bowl from the throttle body first. This may not work if someone has replaced the carb--Zenith makes many carbs, many of which are interchangeable.

I'm pretty sure that the cab has been rebuilt before. Is there any distinguishing characteristics that would let me know which kit to buy?

There should be a small metal tag on the top half of carb, could be 10522, 11115, 9752, 10514A, 12613, 12632, or 11704. Hope this helps. Brent

(quoted from post at 05:06:36 03/02/11) Forgot to mention tag is missing.

Clean the top of the carb right down to bare metal. The numbers you need are most likely stamped right into the top.

Split the carb and look at the diagrams, you will see the difference in the diagrams. Actually all you need to see is the shape of the gasket.
