Clutch question on 706 I need answered-Please

The clutch holds fine,but it doesnt take ahold until the pedal is near the top.I dont yet have a service manual on it and need to know how to adjust it.Thanks for any help guys.Rob

long as you have some free play at top you'll be ok, maybe not right, ..but ya won't hurt anything

Well,I have a little wiggle room,but it sure dont take hold as quick as Id like.It don't slip any though

An inch to an inch and a quarter free play is good.
