Carburetor 251482R91

I have a Farmall H with a carburetor number 251482R91 on the brass tag. I don"t find this number in my Farmall H parts book. Is this carb maybe off of a different model tractor? I want to buy a kit for it, so need to know what tractor model to look for for a kit. Another number is the casting number on the bottom bowl, and that number is 8212DB.

That carburetor is NOT a Farmall H carb. It might be for a super H, 300, 350, 400, or 450.

Call your dealer and they can cross it and give you a kit. It might cost a hair more than Tisco, but it is worth it. You can't call Tisco and ask them what the carb is off.

That would be a quite large hair. $90.00 from Case-IH versus $35.00 from a Tisco dealer.

That's plenty! It would be worth more (but not over 2xs) if you don't have problems like the guy in the other thread with the leaking packing because it didn't come with his kit. You could probably buy a Tisco kit and an IH packing and still be money ahead.

Do you use Tisco kits or another supplier when you do yours?

I am a Tisco dealer, so yes, I use the Tisco kits, and yes, those kits DO come with the same packing that you can get from a IH dealer.

The bowl has a M part number, the entire number is not listed for the Super H, M, Super M or 460. You might have a mixture of parts. But it is not an H carb. I suggest you contact your dealer. Also ask him what 8212 crosses to--as that number may be updated.

I double checked the number on the bowl and I think I misread it. It looks like it is 6212DB, not 8212DB. Sorry for the confusion, and Thank You to everyone for the responses. Dan

Then you have an H carb, the bowl is for a distillate/kerosene carb, I believe you can simply order a kit for an H carb. Go to the parts section of www.caseih.com and you will find your choices.
