I have been researching the internet to find out what model my tractor is and I believe it is a 200, but I need somebody with knowledge to help me verify this.
The only part of serial plate I can read (which is on the clutch housing) is:
940 J
815
I think the engine serial number is 1981 which is on a flat plate on the side close to the front under the spark plug.
The casting dates all have Z which I understand to be 1954. It has a C-123 engine and a fast hitch. The rear tires are 11.2-36 and the front single tire is 7.50-10 SL.
There is an attachment on the left side(if you are sitting on tractor) that has the number 622120R1 which I have not been able to find out what it is.

If its a 200 it will have metal decals on the hood instead of stick on decals. The bars on the grill will be around 3/4" in stead of around 1/2". The serial plate will be on the left side of the clutch housing where as the SC was on the battery box. The attachment on the left side, are you talking about the plow adjustment bar. Its about 1 and 1/4 by 1/2. Goes from the arm where the cultivator attaching to just behind the left brake. Hope this helps

Casting numbers in Z would be correct for 1954. It sounds like it's a 1954 Farmall 200. A picture would help greatly, but with the year, 123ci engine, and description, it sounds like a Farmall 200. Does it look similar to this??

That attachment on th left side is a "side-dressing attachment". Of course it doesn't have the fertilizer box. With one on each side and the cultivator mounted, you would side dress corn with nitrogen when the corn was cultivated the last time, or about 2' tall. don't know if it was ever used with other crops, but that's what we used it for. It was also used to add fertilizer when planting corn with a mounted planter.

(quoted from post at 15:19:37 02/26/11) Do you know of somebody that wants to buy it?

Could you email me, and tell me where are you located, and how much do you want for it? Any details on it? I probably can't afford it..but it doesn't hurt to ask. My email is [email protected] thanks.
