Farmall A serial number

I have a Farmall A that was my Grandfathers . We were always told it was a 1940 model . I have looked at the serial number and it does not match anything that I have seen for these tractors . It starts FAA131 and no particular year starts with these numbers according to what I"ve seen in books and the internet . any help would be appreciated .

The charts will not have the FAA in them.
That justs means it an A.
The number you posted is too low.
Wet the plate with some water and a rag.
That will make the numbers stand out a little bit.
See if you read the first number wrong.

Provided the 131 is correct, you need one more number to make it a 1939, two more for a 1940, 3 more make it a 1945.

We have a Farmall"B" serial # 50169. At least 9 diff." tractor folks "have verified that is the # stamped on the plate.
All of my serial Number books list 501 for the starting no.for "A "s an"B s".
What would be the number for tractor number 1 or 2 be ?
What year is our "B"? Thanks in advance , clint
