What kind of head is this

Bought a head that was said to maybe fit my 1954 400. Original was cracked and is not repairable. The numbers on the bought head are 6336 DE and 5.27.Y Thanks again Bugspot

The 5*27*y is probably the casting date, may/27/1953. The other number I think might make it a kerosene head.

It was used as a distillate head on C264 engines. Don't think it was used past the Supers though.

Fitting and making the same power are two different things. Compare the combustion chamber volume and I believe you will find that even with the slightly larger pistons in a 400, that it will lower the compression (the opposite of the desirable direction) Jim
