60 front blade questions

seems like the part #1 in the diagram, #650312R1, Arm, Hydraulic Extension,

would come precariously close to a foot on the clutch pedal when the rockshaft rolled backwards to lift the blade.

Why is it so long toward the operator ?

The extended end is for raising and lowering when used as a grader blade mounted under the belly. These are installed on many IH models similar to the SA and I know of no problems. It pivots at the center point of the rockshaft, so at any point below level with the rockshaft, it is moving further away from the pedals.
I guess if you did have an interference problem, it may indicate a clutch problem or adjustment.
