Anyone ever use Evaporust? (tank cleaning)

The tank on my Super C was very rusty, so I went to Harbor Freight and picked up a gallon of a product called Evaporust. I poured it in last night. Directions said to pour it into or soak rusted surface anywhere from a hour to over night depending on rust, then flush with water and let air dry. I let it sit over night because my tank was pretty bad. Well I drained it out tonight, and it got about 95% of the rust out of the tank, and it looks good..the only problem I have is the tank is now lined with a green algea looking residue from the Evaporust, which is a green water based liquid. As soon as I drained it, I flushed it with hot water about 5-7 times, and it didn't come out. I stuck a long screwdriver down the filler hole and scraped the bottom of the tank, and it came lose, so it must be some sort of film like residue on there..not sure how to go about this now?

Do you have a local radiator shop? They likely can clean it
thoroughly for you. This is what I did with three of my old
tractors' tanks and the results were excellent. Then I
applied a plastic coating for what became, essentially, a
new gas tank.

Be sure to follow directions carefully if you apply the tank
liner and don't short change the recommended drying
time.

Put a few handfulls of 1/4" nuts or similar inside the tank and shake the heck out if it for a while. Do this till your happy all the rust is gone. Then maybe try your evaporust again and see how it turns out.
