Voltage to RPM Converter

Any constructive remarks about the following idea would be appreciated.

I wanted to add a voltage gauge and a tachometer to my H using one gauge mounting hole. A multifunction circuit could be designed to display several engine functions using a single tachometer as the display device. Any 12 Volt digital or analog tachometer may be used to display RPM or Voltage in a 6 or 12 volt system. Additional functions can be added such as; oil pressure, oil temperature, air temperature, speed or charging current. A function selector switch could be mounted in any location.

Thanks,
Wayne

The outer bar graph gives this tachometer an added visual indication of the measurement.

Very good idea. Simplifiesthe whole concept. It takes the monitoring issue to the 21st century. Not stock, but great. For shows a thin cutout picture of an amp gauge could be adhered to the face of the gauge! Jim

The cutout overlay is a great idea.

Thank you,

If you are into electronics, I see the controller sensor AD converters for the readout placed in a "black box" under the hood where the starting tank would normally be located. A tiny push button on the bottom of the existing meter panel would send a signal to the "box" indexing a solenoid operated rotary switch, or more logic, to change functions.
All very discrete. Jim

A push-wheel switch provides both up and down buttons to change functions with switch contacts and a display of 0-10.
