Which style of gauges?

I have a 1945 Farmall H. My amp meter gauge quit working, the oil pressure gauge glass is broke and the temperature gauge is all rusty. So I'm gonna replace them all. My question is, do I want the gauges with the IH or IHC symbol on them? Right now it has both but which one would have been factory? It really isn't a big deal I guess but people notice the small stuff like that.

Thanks,
Jeff

Do the research and get the right ones. It's the same price to do it right as to doing it wrong..good luck..

It depends on the year. I want to say before 46 is IHC and after is IH, but I am not positive. That should help focus your search. Maybe the OEM book says???
Call Farm Country at (920) 231-6623. Lawrence has some pretty good prices on gauges.

Look in the parts book, and order the correct number. CaseIH used to not handle the original ones, you probably have to use aftermarket. 1945 would be IHC. Also you need the number because oil pressure and temperature differs between models and the gauges are calibrated differently.

OEM Tractor Parts catalog shows the ones with the IHC within the circle as correct for 1939-1946. The IH ones were for later years per their catalog. I heard OEM is going to have them on sale later this month from a friend who was going to order a set for his restoration but decided to wait a week or two for their sale. You might give them a call at 1-800-283-2122 if interested. I have no connection with OEM except as a prior customer for some parts, Hal.
