f-12 exhaust

Hello, I have a 1938 f-12 i was wondering if anyone knows how far the exhaust stack originally stuck past the hood. I have looked at several pictures and have seen them long and short.

I think the standard one stuck up about 6" above the hood. But there is a full page of optional equipment, mufflers, and extensions in the 12/14 parts book

As far as you want! Actually, I have mine around 8"-10", and it looks fine and works fine. Not sure anyone is going to walk around with a ruler, even the "correct" police would probably give you a hall pass if you were an inch or two off...............

Only thing I can say is the sound is deeper with longer pipe. I think the shorter pipe is loader.

Hi enduro, I am interested with your exhaust. Could you please post some pictures of it. I assume that you will sell it to me and just buy a new one.
