How do you get this goofy pin out of Farmall MD?

I am trying to slide the throttle stuff off the left hand side of the engine. My throttle is REALLY hard to move up and down and I have disconnected everything and isolated it to that area. It looks like I have to get the pin with the arrow in the picture out of the arm. I have tried to beat the threaded end through the arm mostly. I also tightened the nut pretty snug hoping that would pull the pin out (like the alignment dowels) with no luck.
Is that thing just that froze up or am I missing something?

I think it is a taper pin that is now pretty tight.
I would heat the body of the lever with a propane torch, then (with the nut flush with the end of the threads) use a punch to drive it out. Jim

Yup, just drive it out, but you need to support back side of shaft with a heavy hammer or shaft to counter the impact or you may just peen or bend it.
