i have a 39 h farmalli just got when you get it in 5th gear even very slow it has a lot of front wheelflop back and forth is there any adjustment on this?

Search. There are posts on this like everyother day. If you just scroll down you should see a few of them. I remember one very good one last week that covered the worm and sector gear and all the bushings etc.
Go to CNH parts and pull up the diagram when you read these posts. That will be of additinal help when reading.

Yes, it's a very common question, and no, there is no "adjustment."

Every piece in the steering is a little bit worn, adding up to a lot of slop. I wrote up an essay on this a few days back on the forum. I'll see if I can find it and link it here so I don't have to write it again.

Mine had a bad lower bearing, along with worn worm gears. The lower bearing was the worst of the problem, so replacing that made it much better.

This was a print article or on the website? (I will go search the site after this post)
