1945 vs 1949 H

Is there much differance in the two years of the tractors ? in the trans or motor . been around a few of H's but never had to do much to them just run them . I have a Guy Fay letter ser book some where i'll have to find that to .
 
No real difference in those years. Same everything used same rated horse etc. The difference would be from say a 39 to a 49 a few things there. But not much between the 45 to 49.
 
'49 will probably have the Monroe E-Z Ride type seat...which is much better than the curved pipe/verticle spring type usually found on '47's and earlier. Most '49's were "gassers" from the factory, '45's about 50/50 between gassers and fuelers. 49's usually came with 11-38 tires and wider rear rims than the '45's that usually came with 10-38's. And...most '49's came with adjustable tread front wheels whereas they were usually an ordered option on '45's, that's about it as I recall.
