I saw an engine listed on ebay that said it came out of an IH tractor. Which ones(if any) used a 6V-71 two stroke detroit?

Here is a Detroit conversion in an M. It was done by a local club member and is photographed at a club tractor pull. I cannot tell you what model Detroit Jared used, but it is noisy and has a lot more power. And I admit it fits rather well.

Normally a 6-71 or 6 V-71 is 235 hp and if you add a turbo 265hp. Proably a large tractor.I think there were a lot of 5010 jd's switch to 6-71 or even 6-92 detroits? I once had a HD-21 Allis Charlmers that had a 12-71 in it!!! Bud.

To have a two stroke it has to be a old tractor road or farm and i don't think they even make the two stroke anymore?? Bud.

Back in the eighties I drove some IH Paystar 5000's dump trucks that had 671's (straight 6) & 6V92's (V6). Lot of bark, not much bite.

Oliver had factory Detroit engines but do not think IH did. Have seen and driven a lot of Detroit engines and have never seen V6 71 there were a lot of straight 6 71s around 30/40 years ago though and a lot of V6 92s.

johns, As other below have said there were No IH Farm Tractors with Screamin Detroits in them.
But A Road Tractor,,,, almost every IH-4070 Cabover I ever saw had a Slobberin 318 hp Detroit in it.
