41 H regulator location?

Can anyone tell me what the correct location for the voltage regulator on a 1941 H is, aprox. sn 61xxx (its out in the garage). Want to put it back to original.

The 41 H did not have a voltage regulator. It had a cutout relay that was mounted on the generator. You regulated the voltage on the light switch high charge or low charge.

As Bill said, the H originally had a cutout mounted on top of the generator.

If you are wanting to keep it looking original and 6 volt also, NAPA has a 6V pos. ground voltage regulator with a curved bracket that will mount on top of the generator. Part # VR850. The "correct police" will have to take your hood off to tell it's not the original cutout.

If by chance you want to convert to 12 volt and keep the generator, there is a 12 volt regulator with a curved bracket also. Part # VR897.

I strongly recommend a voltage regulator instead of a cutout. Your battery will love you also.
