Where to run wire for rear light on an H?

Just installed 3 new lights on my 1941 H. Two headlights on the light bar and one rear light with the red light button on the tear drop housing. Thanks to all the great advice from the forum, I have them all wired up nicely with proper fittings, heat shrink etc, installed the new 3 way light switch. Off/ front dim-rear bright / front bright-rear bright.

My questions is where do you suggest running the wire for the rear light? If it were originally run right across the platform next to the seat was it in a conduit? Does it run under the platform? I ran it forward with the alternator wires as far as the hydraulic outlet, then followed the hydraulic hose temporarily, but realize any time I use the hose quick disconnect it might pose a problem.

The wiring harness I got from AgriServices has the rear light wiring in a flexible metal conduit, and it runs along the underside of the edge of the platform. Can't remember if it's the clutch side or the brake side.

they run along the clutch side on he underside lip of the platform. if you dont have the flexible conduit, you can use some steel brake line and bend up a line to hug the side of the tractor. works pretty good.

Glennster, sounds good, I can get some metal brake line. Can you go into any more detail regarding how I attach the fexible conduit or brake line to the underside of the platform lip?

I'll have to look this weekend, maybe there will be some hardware already there but I doubt it has lasted this long.

there should be a hole drilled in the platform at the left rear corner, and possibly an attachment point at the brake drum cover. you can solder some metal tabs to the brake tubing and use them as attachment points.

There are "flexible" metal strips that you bend in a U shape to support the wire. OEM has them

Under left side of platform, in flex metal conduit, attached by two soft steel (paint em gloss black) U shaped clips.

You are right with the wire, it runs under the plate
on the clutch side, between the brake housing using
clips(metal)
