Farmhand F-10

Was just looking thru the ads, saw an M with the F-10 loader on it. Just wondering, what does that unit weigh? Sure looks heavy.

The beauty of the Farmhand is that the weight of the loader is pretty much balanced over the rear wheels. It might be heavy but the weight is on the rear axle of the tractor, where it helps traction.

Only the weight of the material in the bucket is on the front end of the tractor.

As for actual weight I bet it isn't much heavier than a conventional loader.

It would lift higher than any loader in it's time; I spent many hours making hay stacks & other farm duties with an H Farmall & the F-10.

I have a F-11 loader on an old reversed Allis Chalmers WD-45, I can lift around 3000lbs with no problems, I have about 1000lbs of counter weight on the rear end and the whole tractor weights in at 8000lbs, the original wd45 weighed in at 4000. I have never dealt with the F-10's.
Good luck,

Not heavy at all.

A man can easily lift the rear corner of the thing by hand.

All of that steel is thin-walled and hollow; just looks heavy.

Do you have pictures of the loader on the Allis.

I was lucky enough to find an excellent F-11 loader and bought it though I'm not sure what to put it on.

I have a WD-45 and reversing it would be one option.

Do you experience with big bales?
