rear steel wheels - will M axel mounts work on H

I have a 1943 M with rear steel wheels and a stuck engine. Will these wheels clamp onto the axels of an H model?

I believe H and M axles are the same diameter, but I'm not 100% sure.

The H and M have different size axles. The H and F-12 have same size axles.

That will happen. The rims are the same size, but the axles are different. They are sort of interchangeable, but not 100%.

The M has 2 3/4" axles the H has 2 1/2" axles.

You would have to put F-460 axles and housings on the H. Some of them came with the heavier axles. F-504 would work, maybe others too.

Athol,The H and F12 are different size also.Some people uses H wheels on a F12 but there a sloppy fit
