560 linners and head gaskets

pulled the head off a 560 gas for a friend to fix a blown head gasket found that 1 the head was not stuck down and the gasket was woren between 2/3 clyr and 5/6 clyr where there is water ports in the block and not in the head cleaned deck and head found both to be ture and level then looking at linners found that the top lips r sloped up ward about .004 in ward as to the piston is this normal as i have never encountered this be for all i have seen r flat and was wondering if any body has run acrossed this before this is a new engine kit but i am not really sure about the type thank u for any help jim

Sleeve flange height specification is .000 - .006 above the block deck. Try to have no more than .002 between any two adjacent sleeves.
