Early LP International and Farmalls

I understand that the first factory LP Internationals were the Super M or MTA but as far as I can tell, the earliest small tractors IH built with LP was the 404 and 504. Anyone know why IH waited ten years for the smaller tractors?
We had a Super C that had a dealer installed LP kit when it was almost new.

LP was cheap but the smaller tractors were easy enough on gas that it was not worthwhile to switch. There are some benefits of LP being cleaner burning but not everybody is equipped to handle the fuel.

The International 300 and the Farmall 300, and the International 400 and Farmall 400 all received factory LPG option in 1955 I'm not sure about the 200 as we did not sell many of that size tractors. Factory LPG was first offered on the Super M and Super W-6 in 1952 or 1953.
