What is the intended purpose for the tabs behind the front axle ?

What implements bolted to or hinged to these points ?

The snow plow frame we got from the dealer with our 1966 140 bolts to those ears in front. It came with a 72" Meyer on it.

Several things if you ever get a chance to see all the attachments that were available you will see those tabs were used a bunch.

I will have to go look, but I do not recall seeing those tabs on my late 1953 Super A.

That would mean they first appeared on the Super A-1 or the 100.

Whatever implement(s) they're for, would've been introduced with the 100.

They do look like a convenient place to mount a grader blade.
