What is this ?

I went and looked at what I was told was a old farmall tractor. I thought it might be a Super A but when I checked the serial # I found it is a FAA #276426 but this shows to high to be a regular A. It has the hydraulic lift rockshaft, temperature gauge, non pressure cooling system and radiator shutters. I don't know if their is another way to identify what it is or not I know that the serial # is correct for sure but it doesn't seem like it is.

Thanks in advance for any help or opinons,
Denis

Super A serials start at FAA 250001, so that tractor is a Super A.

#276426 makes it a 1949 model. It's a fairly early Super A. They started making them in 1948.

The shutters mean it's a distillate model.

Dennis,

Serial number FAA 276426 is a 1949 Super A. FAA is the prefix for both the A and the Super A.
