IH H specs.

I just bought an original operators manual from ebay for my H IH. Looking through they say to use thirty wt oil in the engine AND hydraulic system. The twenty wt for cooler climates and ten for real cold weather. This would be non-detergent I would think. Times have changed, huh?

those specs were the technology of the day.today,we have oils and technology that are as good...or BETTER..than they used to be.I use 15-40 and hytran in my H.

yeah, I use the same oil in my H as I use in my old 900 Case. Straight 30 wt from TSC and TSC universal tranny fluid. I don't use them in winter so these work fine.

I use 15W40, the same in all tractors.
