After I remove the nut & bolt what's the simplest way to remove the steering arm off the shaft and remove the broken spindle from the tractor ? In the photo above there is what appears to be a key holding the shaft onto the steering arm ?
Would heating up the steering arm with a torch help free it from the shaft ?
Suggestions, advise, anything would be appreciated. I'm stuck in the field until I can get another spindle replaced.
