Char-Lynn P.S. system on Ebay

Found this system on Ebay, it is advertised for an M, but would there be any difference between an M or an H?
I am just getting used to the idea of a separate power steering pump and see from this picture there is also an additional fluid tank.
I am in NO WAY associated with this Ebay seller, just sharing info.

To answer your email, I live near cheboygan. about 7 miles south of Mackinaw bridge, just off I-75. Were u at in southeast MI are you??

Yeah, they usually go for around $600. I wonder why he didn't include the steering shaft and worm. Throw in a $750 bid in the last 10 seconds and it will be yours at a lower price. Probably between $600-$700.

The market price correlates well with the higher priced new kit offered by Steiners. The price on the auction item is high because there are too many baby boomers with arthritic rotator sockets. Don't see the need unless you are running a loader.

that looks like it would work better on the h with the remote resevoir. my h has a char-lynn ps on it, the hood had a hole cut in it for the resevoir to clear. it was hard mounted to the top of the eaton pump. this system looks to have an extra pully to drive the pump off the crankshaft instead of using the genny belt.

Lake Orion, but I spend a lot of weekends near Traverse City. I am from near Escanaba and will take my H up there part of the time to play deer hunting food plots.

Have you thought about taking your H across the Mackinaw bridge this September?

Pump bracket won't fit a H. crankshaft pulley won't fit. Torque generator mounting bracket is not correct for a H. Half of the high priced steering shaft coupling is missing. Don't see the fan spacers needed to make a complete M set up also.
That pump can be mounted high on a H engine and the reservoir mounted back where the starting gas tank would go if K. or D. That way no hole in the hood is needed. Regular charr lynn pump kits for a H,SH mounted the resrvoir direct to pump. Top of the reservoir ended above hood line.

I like ebay. There are good deals on ebay and there are bad deals on ebay you just have to be carefull. I have about 50 purchases from ebay and am at least 90% happy with my purchases if product or seller does not look right to me I do not bid.

I feel the same way about Ebay. I have made about 300 transactions on Ebay and dont buy anything unless it is a deal. I have bought about 25 Farmall items and have been happy. Just seems like alot of people on this forum dislike Ebay. calling it Fleabay.....lol. Im just wondering is all.

Pay no never-mind to the nay-sayers. Chances are they have never tried it.

If you have a rarity, it is far and away the best market for a seller.

If you are buying run of the mill items, create a search alert for that item. You will eventually get a great deal. You need patience. Let me just say you need alot more patience if sourcing parts from swap meets. And UPS is alot cheaper than fueling your own transportation.

I don't care if the schmucks stay away. Most of them don't have money and are out of the market anyway. They dump on eBay to compensate for their ornery tight-wad perspective.

An eBay purchase is totally riskless. I have invoked the eBay Buyer Protection Plan three times this year when items didn't show up, were damaged, or not described accurately. eBay is very good about supporting customer satisfaction.

I think eBay gets the bad rap because of all the stuff with outrageous buy it now prices or reserves. I have never really had a bad experience with eBay, but I have had to sort through A TON of stuff to find the deal. The hunt is the fun part anyhow.

I've been DYING to do that but they cross the bridge on a Friday afternoon, MDOT wont let them do it on a Sat or Sun cause of heavier traffic. I own a Muffler shop and I;m a 1 man show and would have to close down to go. Cant afford to close the shop up.
SOMEDAY I WILL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
