After getting no spark I pulled the distributer cap and found rotor was not turning.Pulled distributor and this is what I got.

The shafts are available, I saw them reciently when looking for a starter drive. If the distributor drive gear is OK when cleaned up, the new drive shaft might be all you need. Jim

I'm pretty sure what the inside of the distributor looks like too. There are little fly weights and springs in there, Rusted up as a solid glob they won't make your tractor run like it should.

That is what the little screw is for. Take it out & put in a grease fitting. Give it a shot once or twice a year.

pulled one off a 340U that looked like that. I bought a used distributor from a 450 (with a tach) on ebay to replace it. It was about $100. Of course that wasn't the only problem with my tractor. The hydraulic pump locked up some how and the hardened gear chewed all the teeth off the cam gear. What a mess.

There are NOS Prestolite distributors on EBay now for about $150 including shipping. Just the drive shaft will cost almost 1/2 that from IH. I am assuming you have 4 cylinder tractor.
