HOW MUCH OIL?

I have a SUPER C that i just finished rebuilding the transmission/rearend. I would like to dump the oil in before i put the top cover on because i think it will be much easier than messing around with a funnel.. Approx how many gallons of hi-trans does the rear end hold?

I put 5 gallons in mine. Not sure you want to put hy-tran in trans. I use gear oil. I think I put GL 5 in mine, however you could use GL 1 or probably any heavy gear oil.

approx 5 gal. what about 80-90 gear oil , dont require hy-tran.fill till it runs out of check plug then you know the amount.

Do not put Hy Tran in the rear end of a Super C, use 90 wt gear lubericant. Aproximately 5 gallons.

John, The Operator's Manual states the quantity to be 5 gallons with PTO & belt pulley attachment and 4 3/4 gallons without. States to use SAE-80 gear lube for below 32 F and SAE-90 for above 32 F operation. Also, as noted the Hy-Tran is for the Touch Control hydraulic system only. Hope this helps, Hal.
