better after market retrofit hydraulic system

I would like to know if there is a better after market retrofit hydraulic system for my Farmall C and Super C? The ones now on the tractors seem to wear and then the hydraulic oil leaks by the seal and goes into the oil pan. Thank you, any information will be much appreciated.

The problem you are mentioning is usually caused by the system running under pressure for extended periods of time. On the Farmall C, this is the result of improperly adjusted touch control linkage. When you move the control handle to a position, the rockshaft will move until the feedback linkage cancels the hydraulics. If the control handle is moved to a limit and the rockshaft can not position far enough to cancel the hydraulics, the system will remain under pressure. The hydraulic system overheats and damages the seal.
I have several Cubs, SA, C and 140. I haven't had hydraulic problems on any of them.

No. The seal is easily replaced. The pump can be replaced and the reservoir easily repaired.

I'd say if your seal is wearing out on a regular basis, there is something else wrong. Either it is running at high pressure for an extended period, there is some mis-alignment on the pump shaft or drive gears, or you need to start over with a different pump. From what I have seen, these are tough as nails and only wear out over many years of use.
