spray paint

has anyone found a rattle can paint that matches the original IH paint (the one with orange peal in it)? I have a can of Case IH rattle can paint from Rural King, it looks good on working tractors but has too much purple for parts on the show tractor. Thanks!

Tractor Supply Co sells two qualities of spray paint. I use their restoration grade spray paint and have always had good results.

My H was painted TSC red when I bought it and I think it close to original. Good enough for me anyhow.

I have found the TSC spray paint is close. It is like what the dealers used in the winter to repaint the farmers tractors just to keep the service department busy.

Why don't you get your rattle can paint from CaseIH. It matches 2150 exactly. Most other brands are not competitive. You are trying to match orange peel? That is only noticeable on sheet metal, and there is no way you can blend in rattle can paint on sheet metal.

I have used spray paint from TSC, and have found it to work pretty well. The brand is Valspar, and the color reads IH RED.

I use Case IH Ironguard red from the dealer, any dealer. close match and covers good. I used to use durashield from Farm King but they went to Magic, totally crappy. Valspar from TSC is my second choice. Valspar and Irongaurd are competitive price. (around here.)

Valspar restoration grade is a good match for 2150 but the spray nozzles are bad. Try the 2150 in the rattle can.
