Smaller front tires for a 1955 Farmall 400

What is the smallest tire you can put on a 16" rim? Currently I
have 6.00-16 on the front. Also is there a smaller 15" rim that
will bolt directly onto stock cast center on a 400? I'm trying to
get the nose down a few inches before the pulling season
starts again. Thanks

I am going to suggest that the smallest tractor rib tires (or other road tires for that matter) that I could find are 5.50 16.
Have you considered using a compact spare tire from a road vehicle. I think there might be an option there. Jim
