NOT World's Greatest Antique Tractor Mechanic

Started H late yesterday. It soon died. I opened petcock on side of carburetor--no gas. Removed sediment bowl--good flow. Disconnected gas line above in-line gravity filter--good flow. Disconnected line and internal screen as gas enters carburetor--good flow. Hmmm--must be carb. is full of junk. Blew compressed air into petcock of carb--still no flow. Getting late in day, no time to remove and clean carb. tonight. This morning two light taps on carb.--good flow!

Sounds like the needle valve was stuck closed.

Old saying, If you can't fix it with a hammer it's an electrical problem. LOL

HOPE THE COMPRESSED AIR DID NO HARM TO COLLOPSING THE FLOAT Don't ask how I know this can happen Didn't mean to yell fingers not workinf well todayy

Wilson, thanks for this info. I'll try to remember it for the future. I can sure screw things up sometimes. Actually do a bit better with horses, but have a hard time handling round bales with horses, thus use the "H". kelly
