growling 806

Have an 806 gasser that growls/makes a rough brg sound at idle only with the TA forward, noise stops with TA back. TA seems to work solid, no slip. Any hope for a simple fix??

Is this sound old,or is it a new arrival?If its old ,run it and dont worry.If newthere's not much you can do,so run it till it craters,then install a new TA.For giggles,run a series of pressure checks at the multiple control valve.

noise has been there several years, seems to be a little worse all the time. I suppose its in the TA somewhere. Thanks for responding
