Try finding a Titan Tire dealer. Here is a dealer location website. http://www.titan-intl.com/dealer-locator

They always have a decent deal and they also support FFA chapters and students in restoration projects with free tires. Hope this helps.

Something doesnt sound right with your add,I havent bought front tires for a SC for a couple years, but your size doesnt sound right and the last ones I bought were 100 for the pair

Find a tire shop that deals in FARM tires. The shops that only deal in car tires (Big-O,Walmart,etc.)dont have a clue

The 5.00x15 would be the rite size unless you think you needed larger for maybe a loader but for the 3in rims the 5.00 will work good. Would you be interested in a like new pair of 5.00x15.

I have Firestone front tires on my Super C but don't recall the size right now (think they are 5.00 X 15 though) but they were very easy to obtain. Something around $100 for the pair a couple of years ago and got them from a Firestone dealer in a rural area. He had to order them in but certainly wasn't hard to obtain. As I recall, one of the original tires on my New Holland 273 hay baler was the 6.40 X 15 size and when I bought a replacement from the NH dealer was told that was an obsolete size and I think the replacement was a 6.70 X 15. As noted by an earlier post the 5.00 X 15 is the correct size unles you need a wider tire on the front for some unusual reason, Hal.

thanks guys , found a pair at the local hardware store, they had to order them but thats ok. $100 for the pair. we have two firestone places in town and neither one could find a 5.00 15 tire. i live in mining country and they could get me tires for 996 cat loaders and 250ton trucks but no little itty bitty tires go figure. thanks again for the help

I just looked in my Super C part catalog and the rim size (3 different rim styles) is 3.00 X 15 and noted for 4.00 X 15 or 5.00 X 15 tires. I also, looked at my Miller Tire catalog and he offers them for sale in the original style tread for $95 and $100 each. The shipping on mail order tires usually gets them too expensive very quickly so would certainly consider what you can locate within driving distance of your home, Hal.

I think mine are 5x15 Firestones and they cost about 100 bucks for both tires about 6 or 8 years ago.

The firestone places didn't deal in tractor tires. That's why.

If you lived in a farming community, you wouldn't be able to find tires for that CAT wheel loader...

No, No, 5.50-16 is the H size and 5.00-15 is the Super C size. I don't know if you can even find 5.50-15 very easy in tractor front tire design.

That's very High.

I just bought 2-5.00x15" tri rib tires, tubes, and mounted for $146.

Shop around locally. If you have to mail order, try CFI Tire in Des moines IA or TireTown out of Kansas City

(quoted from post at 19:25:41 01/14/11) I just looked in my Super C part catalog and the rim size (3 different rim styles) is 3.00 X 15 and noted for 4.00 X 15 or 5.00 X 15 tires. Which tires are the original style tread? Here is the link for easy reference.
http://www.millertire.com/

4.00-15 4 Carlisle 3-Rib Front Tractor B $55.00
4.00-15 4 Firestone Guide Grip Original A $100.00
4.00-15 4 Goodyear 3-Rib Front Tractor B $84.00

5.00-15 4 Goodyear 3-Rib Front Tractor B $86.00
5.00-15 4 Firestone Guide Grip Original A $110.00
5.00-15 4 Firestone 5-Rib Original H $130.00
5.00-15 4 Carlisle 3-Rib Front Tractor B $60.00

My Super C part catalog lists either a 4" or 5" X 15 as the original size tire either one was available for each style rim. In your link the tread type A is noted as the original style tread, the type B is for a 3-rib tire and the type H is for a 5-rib tire. They offer the type A tread in both sizes noted above and both are USA made per the catalog, Hal.

I know Miller Tire said it was original, but I wasn't sure if that was original to Firestone or original to Deere or Farmall or ??? Did all Farmalls come with Firestones from the factory?

Those are good questions as I was just relaying what Miller Tire had in their catalog. I was around the Super C's when they were new and in the neighborhood but I don't recall the front tire tread design on those new tractors. I have some original IHC sales brochures for the Super C tractor and there are numerous pictures of the tread that Miller Tire refers to as "original type tread" on the cover and throughout the brochure. There are other photos in the brochure showing SC's with 3 rib tread tires as well but those noted as original are in the majority. Hope this helps but this is the best I can provide to clarify this for you, Hal.
