Putting a starter on an F-30

I thought I had posted this before, but I cant find it. How hard, and what would be required, and at what expense do u think it would take to put a starter on a 30. I have a slight chance at getting one, but at 63, I know I cant continue to crank her forever. If I could not have a starter put on it, I see little reason to buy it. I have farmed with 2 before, and love the ole gals.

I saw one a couple years ago at chapter 7 plow day I think it was a Harry Lee setup but not sure. Get ahold of Duane at rusticredacres he may be able to help you out.

A while back a guy had posted in the classifyed ads f-20 set up for sale. I would post an ads looking for your electric start and see if you don't get an answer. oldiron29

There is an article in RP in the past couple years about a retrofit to electric start on one of the old F series. It ran off the belt pulley. Might be of interest to you.

Harry had some kits made up for F-30s that looked pretty good, i will try to find a picture and post. i think the flywheel was turned to accept M ring gear. he sold these kits for 1000. Harry is gone now and i dont know the statice of any of his tractors or parts.
