I need a belt pulley that goes on the 540 pto shaft to run a mid mount mowing machine.This is on super A farmall.If any you fellers got one or know of good source to call.Thanks

if you cant find an original style pulley, shoups has weld on hub pulleys. you can get the 1 3/8 x 6 spline hub for 10.69, part number x13806p, for the x series hub and if you knew the pulley diameter and belt size, the pulleys run 20 to 40 dollars. a 10 inch pulley will cost 29.15, part number p100x. shoup parts dot com, enter the part numbers and have a look see.

You cant get a big enough on on the PTO to run the blades fast enough. It needs to be around 16-18 in dia and there isnt enough room to mount one that big then how would you run the belt. You run those mowers off the belt pulley On a C,SC,H or something like that you can run a mower off the PTO as theres room to run the belts and have slearence for the pulley but not on an A,SA ect.

You need to consider purchasing and mounting the 90 degree box (see Gene's comments). The belt pully is much faster and and that speed will be needed to drive belly mowers designed for mid mount on Farmall
A, SA, etc.

Maybe i did not describe what i need very good.The tractor has the gear box like you show it is to run a woods belly mower right.What i have is the sickle bar mower.It needs to run off the 540 pto shaft out the back of the tractor dont it.It should be a pulley that clamps on pto shaft to run the belt.Im not sure how it goes dont have a book.Thanks
