f-30 overhaul

Ihave got my 30 running decent now but it could use an overhaul. Can you get an overhaul kit for a 30. where would you get one.

I have listings for engine parts for a F30 but no overhaul kit. all the parts are pretty pricey, one sleeve and piston kit is $350. I would have to check stock during the day. you can look up the parts from the link

I doubt you want new sleeves and pistons. A set of rings and a valve grind will spiff things up.

I agree with Nebraska Cowman. New rings ($75), a head job ($100-150) and a new coil and condensor for the mag ($100) should have her running like new.

I too agree with Cowman. you are looking at minimally $1400 just for the pistons and sleeves. Unless your sleeves are totally junk, I would invest in the rings, valve job, and mag parts.

then take stock of where you are at. Hone it out and put new rings in. These old girls are NOT high compression or RPM's. If you are just going to show her, and light work, I would not get excited.
