I"ve got a 140 Hi-Crop with a set of cultivators on it right now. I never use them, so I was thinking of putting a belly mower on it. Has anyone done this? if you have could you send me some pictures of it, I suppose it wouldn"t be to hard, but I am open to any help or suggestions, Thanks in advance

Of course you can. There is a good market for the hi-crop cults if they are complete. But removing them will then alow you to then mount a belley mower.

There are two questions to answer:

1. Has anyone ever made a belly mower for the hi-crop version of the A-140 type tractors?

2. Do you have the fabrication skills to mount the mower if factory mounting brackets are not available?

I think the answer to #1 is NO, so you will have to answer #2 yourself.

What I do know is that I don't see mowers to fit the A-140 type tractors come up for sale very often.

Woods still sold the mowers new about 5 years ago. They may still. However, when I priced the new one 5 years ago, it was about $3500 IIRC. That was before raw material prices skyrocketed and the economy tanked. I'd expect them to quote you around $5000.

Well if anyone is intrested, I have 12 Belly Mowers that fit the Farmall Cub, as well as Super A-140 tractors. About 4 of them fit the right angle PTO which was used on the Super A-140 tractors.
