Was LP a factory option? I found one for sale that looks and runs decent.

Also, are they a very dependable tractor to use?

The 404 was available on factory LPG for $310.00 extra, power steering was $160.00 extra and dual range transmission was $195.00 extra. It tested 33.47 DBHP and 36.70 PTOHP in Nebraska Test #818. It is a dependable tractor for its size. It was available as a Farmall, a International Utility, and a International Lo-Boy Utility. There was also a International 2404 Industrial and a International 2404 Lo-Boy Industrial.

Mr. Harold, do you remember many sold in the Mississippi Delta?

There were not a lot of utility size tractors of any brand sold in the Delta. The vast majority sold were large HP tractors. At the time of your 404, LPG was the most common fuel choice for tractors, combines, and cotton pickers in the Delta.
