Is a Farmal C engine the same as a F-12 engine or
will they interchange? My son is looking for a F-12 engine and has been told the "C" is the same. THX in advance. Joe

NO and NO.The are two totally different engines.Find another F-12/14 engine....OR.be exotic-repower it with a newer engine,ie,,,4 cyl jeep(Ihave one like that)or ..a "hotrod"-A 2.8 litre V6(a current project).Use your immagination.Call me,love to chat about it.Steve 970-874-3973

I have a spare parts engine that could be rebuilt. I am in central Mn. The pistons and rods interchange but I think that's all.

I once drove an F-20 with a flat head Ford in it. Very fun, but not sure how it would plow.

Pictures would be good!

The GM cast iron 4cyl OHC engine would be good to use in that situation. The Ford 2300 4cyl would be good if there's a decent one left.

There are similarities between the two, they came from the same minds at IH. There is (as noted below) probable interchangeable parts, but not the block or mounts. It would require engineering and adaptation, but it would be very nice (and true to its hearitage) A C-153 from a combine or F-504 would be powerful and governed! Jim
