farmall serial number

i have a farmall super m that has been passed down fron my papaw. ive been around this tractor my entire life and about 15 years ago the paint started to peel off and underneath was white paint and he thought it was a white demonstrator model but i can't find a serial number even close. the serial number is F36795. can someone please help or e mail me some links to chase this number down

There never was a white demonstrator M or Super M built. Never happened.

What might have happend is that someone did a custom paint job on it and painted white on it like the newer models if it's on the side. Then painted red back over it

are you sure about a white demonsrator never made? not saying your wrong because your knowledge of farmalls is probably much deeper than maine but i've seen several demonstrator m's at shows and i have a vintage farmall ad with a narrow front end m demonstrator on it?

IH NEVER made a demonstrator M or Super M. The ones youve seen at shows are pretty much what the owner wanted to do, OR so bozo whoeither doesnt know any better, or think they are going to sell it and make money! The vintage ad you saw was probably a C.

There is rumor that some dealers painted them white during the 1950 sales promotion, of course there are rumors of fancy smancy paint jobs IH did too.

Those models never had a demonstrator the white ones were SA CUB and SC i March of 1950
