IH 844 D239 leaking antifreeze.

My D239 is leaking antifreeze. It appears to be coming from top of timing housing,behind waterpump. It is very hard to see leak. It only drips when motor hot. Anybody had similar problems with this motor series?

Hi, has the water pump shaft and bearing been replaced? It is very difficult to tell where the leak is coming from as you said as the fan blows the coolant back against the engine block. If it is the water pump eventually it will leak when the engine is off. There is a coolant channel behind the water pump that has a gasket.

D-239 and you will see parts breakdown.

Water pump hasn't been changed . It leaks behind the housing where the water pump is mounted into. Drips down onto hydraulic pump.
