SW6TA constant mesh gear

54 teeth, 9 1/8" in dia, splined centre hole.
Rust has eaten away two teeth and damaged another 9. any idea where I may be able to find a replacement? if you have one with good teeth but wrecked splines my machinest says he can combine the two.

Should be able to find a good used one at a reasonable price at lots of places. Same gear was used in SMTA, 400,450 tractors and others.
Probably have a couple of extra ones myself.

I have one as well. I'm in eastern MA. There have been a number of them on eBay recently. One would have think that other countershaft gears are also rust damaged. Maybe even the bull gears and IPTO driven gear. I have all that stuff. You may be better off installing a complete rear frame from a similar tractor although some of the ratios will be slightly different in the row crops.

Would you have a spare steering arm? The arm on my TA has been welded and now has a slight curve in it (as compared to the arm on my SW6 that is straight). The piece I am refering to is the shaft that pushes the long rod that goes to the front wheels. Pictures can be sent for clarification if required.
