I"m putting my oil pan back on and wonder what a good bolt torque is when tightening.
Can someone give a good range?
Thanks, Bruce

I would use a 1/4" ratchet with a long extension and just snug the bolts. When they feel tight quit tightening. Hal

Sorry, I don't have the range but don't overtighten. If you do the cork gasket will crack and leak. Tighten until the cork is moderately tight between the pan and block, if you notice a small leak tighten a little more and clean the area. Watch and repeat as necessary.

Quit turning when you see the gasket just begin to squeeze out.
Did you check the pan gasket surface for straightness first?

Wayne, BK, Toro,
Thanks - I'll be light and snug -- and keep an eye for leaks.
Pan does seam pretty straight, so should be OK.
Bruce
