Mold Board Plow For A Cub (Paint Colors)

I have a mold board plow for my Cub and I would like to paint it before installing it. I am not to fussy about the exact colors but I would like for the plow to look good before going to the first show in April 2011. A picture would be nice or any advice is appreciated. ED

I painted mine with the "Ford Blue" color I found at our local True Value. I painted it all blue except front depth handle. I have seen that handle painted both ways. The Ford paint is a little darker than the IH paint but it was cheaper and I wasn"t going for the purist approach.

It was probably blue. I painted the blue on my garden tractor with New Holland's acrylic enamel
blue cost about $18.00 for a quart. Sprayed very nice too. Hal
PS: I also painted some parts of the plow blue.

Blue is the correct color but which blue? Back then nothing went to waste so left over paints were mixed together for painting implements. The correct blue is the one you like.

The correct color would be red for the frame blue for the coulter assembly and backside of the noldboard. At least that was the way mine was from the factory.
